Nigerian Student Solves 30 Year Old Math Equation And Breaks Academic Record At Japanese University

Utof Ekong, a Nigerian student studying in Japan, has become the first Nigerian to earn a “First Class Degree” and also ranked the overall best student at Tokai University in Tokyo, Japan since 1965. More so, he also solved mathematical equation that has remained unsolved in his year of study at the University.

The last time anyone graduated with a grade point average(GPA) similar to Utof Ekong was over 50 years ago.

Ekong, trained himself through school by doing two jobs. He plays the Saxophone and a also runs a retail store called, Strictly African Japan. He has won many other academic awards at the university; totaling to about six.

The graduate of electrical engineering currently works with Nissan and has already patented two products, as well as making an electric car which reaches up to 128 kmph.

Ekong speaks English, Yoruba, French and Japanese.
