Buhari Appoints PwC And KPMG To Audit Government Agencies.

President Muhammadu Buhari in his probity and accountability efforts Yesterday appointed two reputable international auditing firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG to audit the books of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and other government revenue generating Agencies in the country.

This development was revealed by the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole while speaking after the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.

Oshiomhole disclosed that the auditing firms will audit the agencies account forensically and their appointment will professionally establish whether those agencies adequately remitted their generated revenues to the Federation Account in accordance with sections 80 and 92 of the 1999 constitution.
