Barely a week after 8 students of the French Department, of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, were kidnapped on their to the French Village in Lagos, a lecturer of the same institution, has been kidnapped from its staff quarters.
The lecturer simply identified as Dr. Bako, of the department of physiology, was abducted with his wife and daughter.
The incident was said to have taken place on Monday around 12:50am at Sardauna Crescent, Area BZ, ABU Main Campus, Samaria, Zaria.
This was confirmed in a statement by the institution’s spokesperson, Malam Auwalu Umar.
Institutions in Zaria have been in the news lately following the surge in kidnap cases, three persons were also kidnapped at the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, about a week ago.
