Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, held his concert at the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York on Wednesday, November 16th.

The music star delivered a live performance of some of his hit songs—mostly from his fifth album titled ‘More Love, Less Ego’.

Earlier, the ‘Fever’ crooner posted several billboards showing that this 20,000-capacity venue is sold out.

The singer now joins the likes of Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Adele, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Mariah Carey who have sold out Madison Square Garden.

Wizkid becomes the second Nigerian singer to headline a concert at the venue, after Burna Boy’s show in April.

DJ Tunez, the official DJ for Wizkid was on hand to thrill fans with a mix of Afrobeat classics. It was a riveting moment when Tunez played Davido’s “Dami Duro” and everyone present had their flashlights on in honor of the megastar who recently lost his son.

Wizkid is scheduled to begin his North American tour in 2023. He’ll be there to perform songs from his new album. US and Canadian fans will have another chance to catch the Grammy-winner when he comes to their city.
