The Android One Phone Launched by Google in Partnership with MTN, Infinix and Jumia

Google has in partnership with MTN Nigeria, Jumia and Infinix launched in the Nigeria market the first phone with Android One Software known as Infinix Hot 2.

The phones which are already on sale in Ghana, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Kenya is now sold online via Jumia, a local online retailer and other selected retail outlets like MTN stores at the cost of N19,500.

The introduction of Infinix Hot 2 in Nigeria is part of the plan to make high quality smart phones available to millions people of across the globe especially in Asia and Africa.

The promotion of the phone will be done by MTN Nigeria which is the leading mobile network service provider in the country in order to make the data cost more affordable for the users of Infinix Hot 2 Android One Phone.

Owners of Infinix Hot 2 phone using MTN SIM card are able to purchase 1GB with N500 for a year and free updates for the latest Android platform.

Android One users will also be able to access more than one million apps through Google Play. With the apps, they will be able to connect with their friends through instant messages and video calls. They can also play games, check weather information and read the latest news.

As announced by Google, the users of this phone in Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Ghana and Morocco will be able to store videos in their YouTube app when they are online and then watch them at anytime of their choice when they are offline.

Infinix  HOT 2 comes with impressive features such as dual SIM slots, FM radio tuner, fast quad-core MediaTek processor and 16GB internal memory.

Many dignitaries, the media, tech enthusiasts and developers attended the launching ceremony on Tueday at The Landmark Centre in Lekki, Lagos.
