Students kidnapped as bandits invade Catholic seminary in Kaduna

Gunmen have on Monday invaded St. Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy, a Catholic-run major theological seminary located in Fayit community in Kagoma Chiefdom in the Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to NewsWireNGR, the incident took place on Monday night.

They were said to have announced their presence with sporadic gunshots at about 8pm.

A source who lives close to the institution, said the attack last for over an hour, before local vigilante arrived and chased the bandits away.

Some students were said to be kidnapped, while many others were injured during the attack.

However, the number of student kidnapped have not been accounted for, as the police and seminary authority are ye to issue an official statement.
