Six students and two teachers have been abducted from a private secondary school in Kakau Daji Village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The village is said to be just behind the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company (KRPC).

This was made known by the Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, DSP Yakubu Sabo.

According to him, the gunmen gained access into the school premises through a broken fence in the early hours of Thursday morning, heading straight to the female hostel and abducting six students.

More so, he added that the gunmen abducted two teachers who reside in the school.

He added that, their whereabouts are unknown at the moment, as the kidnappers were yet to make contacts with anyone.

The spokesman however said, a combined team of the police command’s mobile and anti-kidnapping squad is already on the trail of the kidnappers to rescue the victims.

He advised proprietors of private schools to put security measures in place to secure their premises in order not to expose their students to similar attacks.
