RAVE Television has disclosed plans to establish a sister Radio Station in Asaba, the capital city of Delta State. The radio station which is expected to be launched in September will be known as Trend 100.9 FM. The announcement was made during the one year anniversary of RAVE TV.
The Rave Television was established by the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Udughan on 8 August, 2014. The idea for the establishment of the TV channel was conceived by Inside Out Media Limited that produced “Inside-out with Agatha.” The Channel is also operating several TV channels which include ACTV, MYTV Africa Channel 4, CTL and Multi-View Platform that covers Europe through C-Band and the entire Africa through KU-Band.
The Chief Executive Officer of Inside Media Limited, Agatha Amata while addressing a press conference expressed their gratitude to God saying that the company has performed beyond their expectation within a year.
The TV station according to her was inspiring towards building a better Nigeria by creating a platform to bring public concerns and voices about governance, daily issues and environment to the open. She said that the RAVE TV would continue to work hard until its dream of broadcasting locally obtained programmes is achieved.
Amata stressed that with proper and quality contents which take the upbringing of the youths and teens into consideration, morality will be restored in the society. She also appreciated the effort the employees of the business.
The Channel Manager, Victor Idiong, also spoke during the occasion. He said that the TV station has gone beyond Africa since the introduction of mobile apps. More than 50,000 viewers have downloaded the Rave TV app on Android since the last six months, he said. According to him RaveTV is also available for download on Blackberry, iOS and Window platforms. However, he mentioned that the TV station has to overcome serious challenges before it got to where it is now.
The general Manager of RaveTV, Tosin Joseph also mentioned that the company was happy to announce the celebration of its one year anniversary.
