Police rescue kidnapped lawyer in Rivers forest

Kidnapped lawyer, Barrister Paulette Bisola Ajayi, has been rescued by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Rivers State Police Command.

Bisola, 25, was kidnapped on Saturday by gunmen at her residence in Rumuokwurusi Obio-Akpor Local Government Area leading to an outcry by legal practitioners who called for her quick rescue.

This was confirmed by the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Joseph Mukan.

According to him, Barrister Ajayi was rescued in a thick forest in Etche Local Government Area of the state.

In the operation which was led by one DSP Adewale, the lawyer was rescued alongside one other person, while two suspects were arrested including an armed dealer.

Recall that her kidnap was reported over thr weekend, after it was revealed that three men, one in military uniform and two others in police uniforms, who had earlier kidnapped a man, used his car to also kidnap the lawyer, while waiting for the gate to her compound to be opened for her.
