Police in Oyo rescue Indian expatriate, says no personnel involved in rescue operation was seized by the kidnappers

The Oyo State Police Command has rescued one of the teo kidnapped Indian expatriate for their abductors.

This was made known by the public relations officer of the state command, Olugbemiga Fadeyi, who told newsmen in Ibadan that the DPO Oke Alaro, revealed that Hassan Mill was rescued from his captors.

Recall that the two expatriates were kidnapped around 4 pm after they were trailed by the gunmen to a pharmaceutical firm close to Top One Restaurant, in the Podo area of Ibadan, the state capital.

According to Fadeyi, the victim who was taken to the hospital after he was rescued, has since been reunited with his family.

He also dismissed the rumour that a policeman involved in the rescue operation was also seized by the kidnappers.

“Information received from DPO Oke Alaro revealed that Hassan Mill ‘m’ has been rescued from his captors and reunited with his family while he was taken to the hospital for medical attention,” he said.

“In a related development, no Police officer who was involved in the rescue operation were kidnapped and the trending statement from mischievous writer online should be disregarded, please.”
