The Minister stated that his office has received series of complaints against NITDA which were confirmed by the investigative committee set up by the ministry. These issues according to the statement prompted the suspension of the IT boss.

The investigative committee which comprised three senior officials of the ministry discovered that there were illegal recruitments of extra 245 staffs within seven months.

The committee in their investigation discovered that the NITDA has only 74 staffs complement as at 29th May, 2015. But he recruited more 245 staffs under questionable circumstances from May, 2015 to 31st December. He did not abide by the order of the ministry to stop any employment.

The committee recommended a professional auditing of NITDA’s finance in order to examine the allegation of financial misdemeanor against Mr. Jack.
