Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo narrowly escaped death on Saturday, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Report had it that the former President was on his way to the airport from a church programme organised for the 10th year remembrance of his late wife, Stella Obasanjo, when the incident occurred.
One of the rear tyres of his Lexus SUV burst while he was traveling and created tension as to the safety of the former President but he stepped out unhurt.
It could not be ascertained weather the former President sustained injuries but he has since travelled out of the country.
