Following the call by #EndSARS protesters, asking Nigerians to unfollow President Muhammadu Buhari on Twitter, the president has now lost about 100,000 Twitter followers in just three hours.
The hashtag, #UnfollowBuhari, which trended during the ongoing protest, was initiated following the president’s failure to address Nigerians or meet their demands.
President Muhammadu Buhari had 3.5 million followers, however, with the protest, the number of following in his official Twitter handle has dropped drastically to 3.4 million, and still counting.
The President is yet to address Nigerians as of today, while it is also being rumoured that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is due to announce the ban on the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
