Four soldiers and two policemen have been abducted by Boko Haram insurgents along Damaturu-Maiduguri road.
This was revealed by a source, who spoke in anonymity. He said the insurgents who were dressed in military uniforms mounted a roadblock on the highway with three Hilux vans.
However the unsuspecting passengers believed it was a genuine military roadblock. The stop and search by the insurgents yielded result, as the soldiers and policemen who were returning to their various bases ans units after a short break, were taking away.
“Four military men were abducted in an 18 seater bus while two other policemen were abducted in a Gulf car,” one of the sources said.
However, neither the army or police has released an official statement as regards the abduction.
