An Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) went off in the early hours of Friday, at Umarari Bayan Waya area of Mulai Village in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, after three suicide bombers detonated bombs, leaving 14 people dead and 17 others injured.
The blast reportedly went off few minutes past 5:30 AM, when Muslim faithfuls were getting ready to for their early morning prayer.
Ten people died including the suicide bombers, while 17 others sustained various degree of injury and are currently receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital.
This is coming barely 12-hours after over a dozen worshippers lost their lives, in a bomb explosion in a mosque at Mulai area of Maiduguri.
The bomb went off when worshippers were observing their Magrib prayers.
The Police said in a statement by the Commissioner of Police that “at about 6.35 PM on Thursday, two suspected suicide bombers detonated IEDS in and outside a Mosque at Mulai.
