Bandits have killed at least 51 people in some villages in Kaduna state.

The villages are located in three LGAs – Giwa, Birnin Gwari, and Igabi, which are all in the northern axis of the state.

The bandits reportedly attacked six villages of Kerawa, Rago, Marina, Zariyawa, Hashimawa, Gidan Musa Saidu, and Unguwar Barau – within the three LGAs.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident on the Hausa Service of the Voice of America monitored on Monday.

Also, lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, Sen. Uba Sani, confirmed the sad incident on Twitter.

He said, “The cold-blooded murder of about 51 persons in Kaduna villages has further deepened the pain of Nigerians,” Sani said. “The security agencies must go to any length to ensure that perpetrators of these heinous crimes are brought to book.”
