Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari will fire Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde today, Thursday, August 27, 2015.

According to multiple sources, the unceremonious firing of Lamorde became inevitable following a mind boggling trillion naira fraud scam hanging on the head of the EFCC chairman.

The image of the EFCC was badly damaged by one George Uboh, a petitioner who appeared before the Nigerian Senate committee yesterday, alleging that Lamorde gave choice properties seized from former Bayelsa State Governor, DSP Alamieyesigha and others, to Usman Lamorde, his younger brother.

Uboh, the petitioner also made series of submissions backed with facts, showing how Lamorde defrauded Nigeria by allegedly diverting a whopping N2.5 trillion from seized properties and funds of individuals under investigation by EFCC.

Sources at the Aso Rock Villa confirmed to Global Village Extra that President Muhammadu Buhari has giving the nod for Lamorde to be replaced, and investigated immediately he is fired.
