All patients who fled the isolation center in Osun state have been found.
This was made known by the Chief Press Secretary to the Goverbor, Ishmeal Omipidan.
According to him, the patient was found on Saturday afternoon.
“The missing person has been recovered a few minutes ago,” Omipidan said in a Facebook post.
More so, Funke Egbemode, commissioner for information, said only a patient was unaccounted for and not six as speculated in the media.
She said the patient is one of the 127 returnees from Ivory Coast had been isolated by the state government, out of which 22 of them had tested positive for coronavirus.
“The State Government of Osun has found the only person who reportedly absconded from the Isolation centre in Ejigbo earlier today,” the statement read.
“The woman has been returned to the isolation centre. We are still in the process of tracing individuals she might have come in contact with.”
The commissioner noted that, security within and around the isolation centre had been beefed up.
