UPDATE on Zaria Crises: Kano Shi’ite Leader, Spokesman Killed in Zaria Violence


The leader of Shi’ite sect members in Kano state Muhammad Turi and the sect’s national spokesman, Ibrahim Usman, have been confirmed killed.

They were shot dead in Zaria town in the ongoing clash between military and members of the sect.

Spokesperson of the sect in Kano, Ahmad Saqafa, confirmed the death of the two shi’ite members to Daily Trust.

Saqafah said: “The two important personalities were among the scores of brothers who were killed as martyrs in Zaria.”
