UNILAG Suspend Another Lecturer Fingered In BBC’s Sex For Grade Exposé

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has suspended another lecturer, Dr Samuel Oladipo, on Tuesday, following the publication of the BBC Africa Eye Video, ‘Sex For Admission’.

Dr Oladipo, who is a lecturer in the Department of Economics, was shown in the video demanding for sex from an undercover in exchange for admission into the school.

This is the second lecturer the University is suspending, after another lecturer, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integrated Studies, Faculty of Arts, was suspend.

The Vice Chancellor of UNILAG, Prof Ouwatoyin Ogundipe, who confirmed the suspension of Dr Oladipo, noted that he will face a disciplinary panel by the university management.

More so, Dr. Delete Bashir, Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), UNILAG branch, described the sexual harassment scandal involving two of it’s members as unfortunate and tragic.
