Retired Nigerian Navy Commodore, Kunle Olawunmi, has arrived at the Military Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), Abuja.
This is coming a few days after he was declared wanted by the agency.
According to a top source, who spoke to SaharaReporters, Olawunmi who arrived at the agency’s office on Tuesday, was accompanied by his lawyers – Femi Falana (SAN) and Abubakar Marshall.
“Navy Commodore Kunle Olawunmi has arrived at the military DIA in Abuja. He was accompanied by his lawyers,” the source said.
“They initially declared him wanted but downgraded it when the plot was leaked.”
The Defence Intelligence Agency had declared Olawunmi wanted for saying sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria, are in power, while adding that the present administration is shielding them from prosecution.
However, the DIA has denied declaring the former Naval boss wanted, noting that it only asked him to report to its office, so as to share intelligence, following his interview with Channels TV.
