Dahiru Buba, a resident of Dukku Local Government Area, who walked from the state to Abuja, to celebrate the election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, has pleaded with well meaning Nigerians to help him raise funds to treat his broken limbs.
Mr. Buba who walked 550 kilometres appealed to the Gombe state governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and other party chieftains of the ruling party All Progressives Congress.
While speaking to Daily Trust, he said the pain has been a continuous since the day he took the trip.
He sais,“Since the time I conducted the trekking, the limb pain is growing by the day.”
Adding that, the only reward he received for the 2015 walk was a certificate from the former secretary of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, who is now governor of Yobe state and caretaker Chairman of the party.
He said the certificate was given to him to acknowledge his status as a good fan of president Buhari and the APC.
More so, Buba is seeking public support to pay the tuition fees of his children.
