Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has dropped his governorship ambition.
This was revealed in a statement issued by Umar Jubrilu, his spokesperson.
According to him, he has not resigned his position as the AGF, noting that his decision to withdraw from the Kebbi State guber race was a demonstration of altruism and patriotism.
He said, “Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has not resigned.”
“He withdrew his ambition to contest for the 2023 Kebbi State Gubernatorial Elections,” it added.
Mr Malami said his decision to dump his governorship ambition was a “commendable posture worthy of admiration coming from a paragon of virtue.”
