Lagos State has shut down Dowen College, Lekki, indefinitely following the death of a student, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, after allegedly being bullied by schoolmates.
Commissioner for Education Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the closure after a meeting with the School Management and Staff.
State authorities said the school will remain shut until the completion of the investigations by the police.
The statement added that, “The commissioner called for calm, saying no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident.”
