Kano Gov. Ganduje Relaxes Lockdown Imposed On State By President Buhari

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has relaxed the lockdown imposed on the state by President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari had imposed a total lockdown in Kano state following the surge in the number of deaths and also those affected by COVID-19.

However, Ganduje, has now announced Mondays and Thursdays as lockdown-free days, from 10am to 4pm.

He said markets will be allowed to operate during this period unless supermarkets.

Adding that the selected supermarkets would be announced on local radio stations.

More so, Yankaba Market where perishable items are sold and Yan Lemo Market would be allowed to operate during these period, the governor said.
