Preaident Muhammadu Buhari has approved the suspension of 12 directors of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) with immediate effect.
The notice of suspension was conveyed by Mohammed Umar, the newly appointed Acting Chairman of the Commission, from the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
Their suspension is not unconnected to the ongoing probe by a presidential panel into corruption allegations levelled against suspended Acting Chairman of the agency, Ibrahim Magu.
