Mr. Chiji Collins, has been removed as Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly.
He is accused of financial impropriety, high handedness, and gross misconduct among others.
Nineteen out of 27 Assembly members are said to have signed his impeachment letter at the plenary session on Friday.
Paul Emeziem from Onuimo Local Government has been appointed the new Speaker of the Assembly.
