Following rumours which went round yesterday that governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state was involved in accident.
The Senior Special Adviser on Media and Communication to the governor, Muyiwa Adekeye, has denied the claims.
The rumour had it that El-rufai’s driver died in the accident, while the governor himself was in critical condition due to injuries he sustained.
Adekeye while revealing this on Twitter, said the governor is hale and hearty and was not involved in any form of accident.
“While Malam Nasir @elrufai was at post-election reception in Kaduna on Sunday night, some liars placed him in Kano. Now they are spreading tales that he was involved in a fatal accident. Hatred is not a political strategy.
“The hatred that moves people to peddle lies, concort rumours of accident and try to pass off their ill-will as God’s doing is a burden on those who have permitted reason to exit their minds and have given their hearts to a constricting narrowness,” the tweet read.
