Former Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi Loses Wife

Former Nigerian international and Super Eagles head roach, Stephen Keshi lost his wife on Wednesday night.

Emmanuel Ado, who spoke on behalf of the family said, Kate battled with cancer for three years before finally given up the ghost in the United States of America.

A condolence message released by the NFF through its website described the death of the wife of the former coach as a big loss.

“This is devastating. To lose a spouse is the equivalence of a tragedy. I pray that Almighty God will give you and the children the fortitude to bear this huge loss,” NFF president Amaju Pinnick said.

“ Stephen Keshi is a Nigerian hero and we mourn deeply with him at this time. This has come like a big blow, but we pray that he receives divine strength to cope with the situation, and we also pray that the

Almighty God will grant the departed eternal rest.”

Stephen Keshi and Kate were married for 33 years.

She is survived by her husband, four children, her mother, brothers and sister.
