Former Ogun Governor And Atiku Campaign Manager Gbenga Daniel Defects To APC

Valentine Chinyem

Former Ogun State governor, Otumba Gbenga Daniel, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr. Daniel, who is expected to pick up his APC’s membership card on Tuesday in Sagamu, was a two term governor under the unbrella of the PDP.

His decision to decamp is coming on the heels of the deadline of the ongoing registration exercise by the APC.

Gbenga Daniel, will be receiving party chairman and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni and about three other APC governors as part of the political move.

He was the campaign manager for Atiku Abubakar during the 2019 presidential election, helping the former vice president to a drawn primary victory.
