FG to ban inter-state travel, close motor parks across the country over Coronavirus

In a bid to curtail the spread of the deadly Coronavirus disease, the Nigerian Government has announced plans to ban movement of people across states within the country.

Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, disclosed this in a Twitter post on Thursday.

Accorsing to him, the information was relayed by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

He said, “The Federal Government announces plans to ban inter-state travel and possibly close down all motor parks as part of measures to curtail the spread of the #Coronavirus, Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, discloses the plans this afternoon. #COVID19Nigeria.”

Nigeria which has 51 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, has recorded one death, two recoveries while six others are expected to be discharged in coming days.
