FG Declares Thursday Public Holiday To Mark Eid-El-Maulud

Thursday, October 29, 2020, has been declared a public holiday by the federal government.

The holiday which is to mark this year’s Eid-El-Maulud in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, will be observed acrossed the country.

This was made known on Tuesday by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, in a statement by Mohammed Manga, Director of Press and Public Relations in the ministry.

The minister urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of love, patience and perseverance during the period.

More so, he called on Nigerians to shun all forms of violence and lawlessness, adding that, as only that would guarantee peace and security in the country.
