Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to PUNCH, sources farmiliar with the development, revealed that the former Anambra first lady was being questioned for alleged fraud at the commission’s office in Abuja.
Recall that Mrs. Obiano was in the news last month after her fracas with Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Spain and wife of Biafra Warlord, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca, during the inauguration of the Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, in Awka
Bianca had also recently obtained form her Anambra North Senatorial District ambition under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in 2023.
Mrs. Obiano’s arrest is coming barely a month after the anti-graft agency arrested her husband at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for alleged misappropriation of funds during his tenure as Anambra State governor.
