Edo State Gov writes IGP, wants Oshiomhole arrested, prosecuted

Valentine Chinyem

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has called for the arrest of the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

This is due to the crises currently rocking the Edo state chapter of the party.

In a petition submitted to the Inspector-General of Police and Director-General of the Department of State Services by the Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shuaibu, the petition claimed that Oshiomhole has continued to disobey lawful orders from the state and also continued to breach the peace of the state.

Recall that governor Obaseki had in a viral video vowed to deal with National Chairman of the party if he keeps disrupting activities of Edo APC.

The former labour leader was instrumental to the emergence of Obaseki as governor but fell out with him shortly before he declared his re-election bid.
