Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki has joined the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor who has been at a loggerhead with the former governor of the state and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, made the disclosure via his Twitter handle.
He said, ”I have officially joined the @OfficialPDPNig to advance my ambition to seek re-election as Governor of Edo State.
”I, as always, remain committed to engendering good governance and sustainable development of our dear state.”
The governor was disqualified by the National Working Committee of the APC following discrepancies on this credentials.
Before decamping to the PDP, Obaseki woukd be recalld visited his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike during the week.
