COVID19: Borno govt suspends lockdown indefinitely, asks religious activities to resumes

The Borno State government has suspended infefinitely the lockdown imposed in the state following the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to the statement which was released by the deputy of governor of the state and chairman of the state’s COVID-19 committee, Hon. Umar Kadafur, religious activities can also resume but in strict adherence with social distancing and the use of face masks statewide.

He added that, significant progress has been recorded in the last three weeks against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He urged religious, community and opinion leaders to adhere to all the warnings, noting that defaulters would be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
