Bristow Helicopter Crashes Into Lagos Lagoon.

An helicopter belonging to Bristow helicopters, has reportedly cashed into the Lagoon, at the Oworonsoki end of Lagos.

12 people were reportedly inside the helicopter at the time of the crash, however, the officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have confirmed four people dead, two are in critical condition, while six people survived the crash.

NEMA in conjunction with the Nigeria police and locals, recovered the bodies during rescue operations.

An eyewitness said the incident occurred at about 3PM on Wednesday, August 12, afternoon.

The chopper was coming from the Ondo oil rig, carrying workers coming home after two-weeks of work through the, Ikeja axis of Lagos State when it made a loud noise before nose-diving into the Oworonsoki end of the Lagos lagoon.

Officials of NEMA are still carrying out rescue operations at the scene of the crash.
