Hon. Rilwan Gadagau, representing Giwa West in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has been killed by bandits.
Mr Gadagau, who was chairman House Committee on Local Government, was abducted at a point called Dindin Rauga along Kaduna-Zaria Road on Monday night.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the lawmaker was killed by the attackers on their way to their hideout in the forest.
Sources disclosed that he last spoke with one of his colleagues, Shehu Yunusa, who represents Kubau Constituency, moments before the attack.
“They were on phone with his colleague Shehu Yunusa on that fateful night, telling his member colleague that he was informed about kidnapping incident taking place ahead of them. He was contemplating on either returning to Kaduna or proceeding to Zaria when he abruptly took excuse and hung the phone.
“His phone remains switched off since Monday night. His body was found in the bush this morning,” said a source familiar with the incident.
