Kayode Fayemi, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged winner of the Ekiti State Governorship Elections, held on Saturday, July 14.

The election was fiercely contested by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olusola Eleka, who polled 178,114 votes as against Fayemi’s 197,462 votes.

Counting of votes by the Independent National Electoral Council (INEC) in an election that was smeared by alleged bribery of voters by both parties, has since come to an end but Kayode Fayemi is yet to be announced winner.
