Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi and the son of the late Emir Ado Bayero, emerges as the new Kano Emir.
This is following the the dethronement of Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He was officially announced in the presence of the Kano Emirate kingmaker and other stakeholders at Ante Chamber, Government House, Kano.
According to Abba Anwar, the Chief Preess Secretary to the Governor of Kano state, confirmed this in a tweet, it reads, ”The Kano State Governor H.E @GovUmarGanduje has approved the appointment of His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the 15th Emir of Kano, after the nomination of 3 prospective candidates by the Kano Emirate Kingmakers.”
