President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday in Abuja met with Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode behind closed door.
Although the purpose of the meeting is not known, but according to speculations, it can not be unconnected to the feud between the Ambode and the national leader of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ambode is seeking a renewal of mandate for a fresh four-year term under the APC. He has challengers in two former Lagos commissioners – Babjide Sanwo-Olu (Establishment &Training) and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat (Works & Infrastructure).
The trio would contest for the APC governorship ticket at a scheduled shadow poll.
