13 More Lawmakers In Imo State Test Positive For COVID-19

Thirteen more members of the Imo State House of Assembly have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of infected lawmakers in the state, to 14.

This was revealed by Chinedu Iwuala, spokesperson for the state’s Task Force on COVID-19 on Tuesday.

This is coming barely six days after a lawmaker(identity withheld), tested positive for the virus in the state.

Following the lawmaker’s positive test result, the samples of all other lawmakers and their aides were taken to the laboratory for COVID-19 test but the results of 13 more members of the Assembly came back positive.

Imo State currently has a total of 246 cases.
