Lagos State: Kidnappers Release Abducted Model College Students’ and Teachers




Abductors of the four students’ and two teachers of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Epe, have released their victims.

It will be recalled the the pupils and teachers were kidnapped last week Thursday at about 8am, at the school premises, while the school was resuming from break. However, detailes were not given if a ransom was paid to the kidnappers, to effect their release, but the students and teachers were said to have been released around 10:30pm, last night.
The pupils – Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi – Vice Principal, Junior School, AO Oyesola and English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde, have now regained their freedom.

The kidnappers who initially demanded N120 million, reviewed the amount to N3.5m on Sunday.
Mr. Oluwafemi Adebisi, an elated father of one of the victims, confirmed that his son was back home and in good health.
“I thank God for everything. My son has been released to us. He is in good health. God is wonderful,” he said.

More so, a Police source has indicated that no arrest has been made.
