World Cup Qualifier: Eagles Beat Zambia 2-1

The World Cup qualifying match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Zambia ended on a bright note in favour of Nigeria.
The match which ended 2-1, saw Alex Iwobi of Arsenal FC and Kelechi Iheanacho of Manchester City, scoring in the 33th minute and 43th minute respectively, just before the break.

However, the Zambian side came back tough in the second half, as Mbesuma netted a fine goal in the 70th minute, but Nigeria were able to hold on, with Carl Ikeme of Wolverhampton FC making some fine saves, to claim all three points and move top in Group B.

By this 2-1 defeat Nigeria has now recorded their first ever away win against the South African country.
