Warn your daughters/sisters not to date a Yahoo/Gee boy – ACP Shogunle

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle has warned parents against allowing their daughters date fraudsters, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys.’

He said this following the death of a young lady and her boyfriend, who is a well-known Yahoo Boy, both students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, in Ogun State. The couple were said to have gone missing after going out on a date, but after searching for them, their corpse was found in a bush.

He said lady’s unknowingly get caught up in the violence that comes with their boyfriends being shady and often times fall prey or get used for ritual purposes, as most fraudsters now engage in using voodoo for their trade.

His tweet via his official Twitter handle @YomiShogunle reads:

“Warn your daughter/sister not to date a Yahoo/Gee boy.

She could be a victim of the violence associated with her BF’s illicit venture or ingredient of Yahoo+ (juju).
Parents of those already married to one, beg son-in-law to go legit if you don’t want to get a bad news.”

Two suspects have however been arrrwsted by the Ogun State Police command, following the student’s death.
