Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, cruised into the FIFA U-17 World Cup semi-finals after their 3-0 victory against Brazil.
The Brazilian side started on a bright note, after missing some clear cut chances at goal.
However, it was Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, who broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, bringing his total goals scored in the competition to eight, goal in five games.
Kingsley Michael doubled the lead in the 29th minute, while Udochukwu Anumudu the third in the 34th minute, from a yard out.
Both teams played the rest of the first half with little chances at goal.
The second period saw few clear-cut opportunities, with Funsho Bamgboye and Evander going closest for either side but, in truth, it was a mere procession for the holders to take a step closer to retaining their title.
They will head to Concepcion for Thursday’s semi-final against the winner of tomorrow’s quarter-final between Ecuador and Mexico.
