Senate President, Bukola Saraki today, announced the postponement of screening of the remaining Ministerial Nominees till Tuesday, 20th of October.

The development was made public before the plenary, by the Senate interim Chairman Committee on Media and Publicity, Dino Melaye. He added that the exercise would be rounded off Wednesday next week.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki announced yesterday that former Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and Adebayo Shittu will be screened among other Nominees today.

However, addressing journalists on the report on Wednesday, Samuel Anyanwu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, on the report submitted on former Governor Amaechi, which was not available Wednesday, he said: “We are supposed to turn up a report on the matter, but it is not yet ready. I’m sure in the next few hours it will be turned up. Committee reports must be holistic.”

On whether the report will be presented to the senate on Thursday, he simply said: “‎We are still on it.”

The report may be the major cause of the postponement.
