President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday distribute portfolios and swear in ministers-designate, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said on Twitter on its official Twitter handle on Saturday.
This means the much awaited federal executive council (FEC) will be constituted next week.
It could be recalled that the president had on September 30, submitted the first list of ministerial nominees containing 21 names to the senate, and in October, he submitted a second list containing 16 names.
However, he later withdrew the nomination of one nominee- Musa Ibeto from Niger state- owing to the fact that two person’s were nominated to be Minster from the same state.
In all, the senate confirmed 36 nominees as ministers after a screening exercise that lasted five days.
On Tuesday, Senate President Bukola Saraki had submitted a list of confirmed ministers to the president at the presidential villa.
Some of those confirmed as minister were:
Lai Mohammed, Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Audu Ogbeh, Ibe Kachikwu, Amina Mohammed and Chibuike Amaechi.
Others were Heineken Lokpobiri, Cladius Daramola, Adebayo Shittu, Shehuri Mustapha, Ocholi James, Adewole Folorunso, Bawa Bwari, Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Mansur Dan Ali, Usani Uguru, Okechukwu Enelamah, Anwuka Anthony, Musa Bello, Adamu Adamu, Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim and Aisha Abubakar.
