Super Eagles/Stoke City striker, Osaze Odemwingie, will be out of action this weekend, following his hamstring injury.
He would be sidelined for at least two weeks.
Stoke City Boss, Mark Hughes, who confirmed this, described the latest injury setback for Odemwingie as quite unfortunate, particularly as the Nigerian striker did so much work in the pre-season with the hope of hitting the ground running in the new campaign. It was gathered that the latest injury for the 33-year old happened in training.
Odemwingie came off the bench against Liverpool in last Sunday’s EPL curtain-raiser, but will take no part in Saturday’s trip to White Hart Lane where Stoke City will take on Tottenham Hotspurs.
