Following Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s comment on her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, on BBC Hausa, in which she claimed, President Muhammadu Buhari’s government has been hijacked by people who do not share the same vision as the ruling party, (All Progressive Congress (APC), and most of who did nothing for him during his campaign.

She claimed the president does not know most of the officials he appointed into key positions in the country, and further added that, although, the President is yet to brief her on his intentions for the next election holding in 2019, when his current tenures expires, that she will not back him up, if he does not shake up his government.

“The president does not know 45 out of 50 of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.”

“Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position,” she said.

“He is yet to tell me, but I have decided as his wife that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again,” Aisha Buhari added

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently in Germany for a visit, has responded to his wife’s comments.
“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” he said.
President Buhari made this statement in front of Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, who according to reports, glared and then, laughed briefly.

It will be recalled that the Presidency had within the week tried to dissuade the BBC from airing this controversial interview with the first lady.
